How cancer became creation
First, let me thank you for your interest in my story. I've always had a love of food, and I'm passionate in creating meals and flavors that amaze. If you see me dancing when I taste a recipe, you'll understand. While love for food has been great, it turned into a passion following the most trying time of my life.
In 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitt's Lymphoma. Burkitt's is the most aggressive cancer on Earth. It doubles in size every 25 hours. I had tumors in every lymph node in my body, and tumors growing on my bones.
To combat this, I underwent intensive chemotherapy that forced me to reside in the hospital for 5 months. I used this time to study everything I could about food. It became my secondary drive to heal. I wanted to share my love of food with the world! When I recovered, I began cooking every recipe that popped in my head. I studied recipes from all of the famous chefs. I had found a passion.
